Dedicated from the beginning to an
international import and
export trade, the "Casa Krauch" (House of the Krauch's), as
the company was known at that time, opened its doors at the
very centric corner formed by the streets Estrella y Alberdi
of the quiet and still sleepy Asuncion of 1891.
Very soon the excellent quality of the
imported goods, mainly
fabrics, wool, cosmetics and perfumes, gained fame and S.A.
F. Krauch & CIA became an obliged reference for reliability
and good taste.
On the other hand, taking advantage of
the extraordinary export
possibilities of the national products like tobacco, cotton
and essential oils, the company started to develop international
markets for them. Petitgrain, an essential oil, very much
appreciated by the international perfume industry, became
one of the most exported items.
